| Artist Statement | When simple elements in nature combine to create scenes of striking beauty, occasionally it is my good fortune to capture them. I love looking for them within combinations of location and light, water and wind, and when they work, results are often surprising. When I get really lucky, at the right moment in the right place, a subject might take me on a transition from reality to abstraction, and the results can become breathtaking. I am humbled by comparisions of my photos with the work of well known, traditional artists (Joseph Raffael, Charles de Muth). |
